Adviser of National Olama Mashayekh Aimma Parishad and Charmonai Mufti Syed Muhammad Faizul Karim said, "We do not want to replace one looter, corrupt, murderous in power. We want unity but we don't want any battle to be established through this unity."

He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the biennial Ulema Conference at Ashwini Kumar Hall in the city yesterday noon.

He also said that the Alim-Ulama took the most part in the anti-British movement. But the leadership was provided by Mohammad Ali Jinnah. Because at that time Jinnah had the ability to lead by colluding with the British and India. Although many people did not like him.

He also said, "Everyone be careful, no one will be emotional. Therefore, all the Ulama should be united. At least take measures so that we can raise our voice together from Barishal. Think about running the state. Make meritorious students skilled in the state and English. Make the state manageable."

Presided over by Jatiya Olama Mashayekh Aimma Parishad Barishal district president Hafez Maulana Abdul Halim, the conference was also attended by Hafez Maulana Obaidur Rahman Mahbub, advisor of National Olama Mashayekh Aimma Parishad, Central General Secretary Mufti Rezaul Karim Abrar and other central and local leaders.
